Samsung LN32B360 32-Inch LCD HDTV
The sudden death of my 11 years old CRT TV necessary to find a replacement. I am thinking about LN32B360 as my replacement. Last year alone, the TV in my room "po 'dust', and I needed a new TV for this space for purchase.
At that time I suffered from sticker shock of television sets and went on the economic side. Even with my 19 "Sylvania, I wanted something more robust content for your living room.
I started with Consumer Reports and online customer reviews of the consultative model to be purchased in various stores. I then press the shops to see what was available. I reduced the size of 32 "or 37". Most of my point of view is made within 8 to 10 meters away from the crowds, and I thought to do with a good size.
As a value-minded consumers, and did not need "the latest and greatest" technology, I have had this Vizio on some models. They seemed to get, especially rave reviews in sources I have seen, had many functions, and the prices were not outrageous.
Samsung LN32B360, while they seem to be highly rated, I have seen in my "list" to be.
I then spent several days at the home of a relative who had recently bought with 37 "Vizio. I must say that I am underwhelmed by the performance of the set was.
My relatives had not read the manual, so I dug up and started to learn about various settings. We have tried many settings, but the picture never came to the quality (with videos on DVD) that I thought perfectly.
After his return from the living room, I decided to see the ad again made to see if I could find out more.
While shopping at Wal-Mart one day, a boy, the consumer, and I started commenting to each other on TV, we were immediately. (In your shopping cart recommendation receiving a business that shows many models, so you can see how to see them side by side and the differences in the photos.) It was quite apparent that both the Samsung 32 "and 37" varieties showed a better quality image is not only the major brands, with the exception of Sony, with whom he treated as equals. The price of Samsung LN32B360 interest me the most. I must say that this set is 720p and 60Hz refresh rate (equivalent to 6 ms) and not the latest technology, 1080p or 120 Hz (or more) .
Later, he was in Sears, I chatted with the seller about the quality of different groups, and I noticed that the Samsung seems richer / more clearer than the circle. I asked if there Vizio settings, adaptation, which could make the picture better. He said that the contrast ratio of Samsung was much higher than the circle, so that the Vizio could never picture quality. For people who is confused about 720p and 1080p version, he said, if you are not going buy Blu-Ray, you'll get 1080p capability right now everything is 720p broadcast. What frame rate, it seems that the response time of 6ms is pretty reasonable for a TV of this size, buy more rapid rates of factor in the decision process about the size of the screen.
So I wanted. I went looking and found the LN32B360 Samsung 32 "LCD TV Welcome to Best Buy for $ 437.99. I bought on the spot, took home and set up. It takes sometime to make connection for various components at my home such as coaxial cable and the hi-def component cable from the cable box. nothing difficult, it takes only a little 'time to prepare and organize the nest of wires.
After using the TV about 5 weeks I can report the following results:
- The quality of the images in hi-def channels is well .... Hi-Def is excellent. The hi-def is doing shows like "Planet Earth" is much more fun. The picture is very clear and the colors are vivid.
- Speaking of color and image quality, it took a while 'to adapt to different settings to get pictures where I wanted. I discovered that I had to cut way back on the color, otherwise it is too rich. Would be a good idea to write down the settings as in the case, are always reset by accident.
- Make sure that you are familiar with the different ways of sizing TV (for all LCD TVs). The TV can display the image in different sizes to do as a screen that has an aspect ratio of 16:9. For anything that is not broadcast in 16:9 format, images can be enlarged to fill the screen, but it suffers from a distortion. Can be expanded to fill the screen, while the proportions, trim the edges of the image. The original aspect ratio of the transmission can be shown to be maintained, the image will be less, and fill the black bars on the screen for
the image.
- For high definition channels, changing the source of "TV" (as it comes through the coaxial cable to connect the component cable in contrast) makes these channels look better.
- While not stereo surround sound quality is good. It is much better than my 19 "Sylvania to be set, which is a bit tinny 'in comparison, has.
- This TV can record hi-def channels, the company broadcasts via cable without cable box the cable company. I think it's the "QAM" tuner that allows this. My Sylvania not have this ability. So if you have hi-def service, you can ensure that your TV has this type of tuner, so you can take advantage of these channels.
- The viewing angle is very good, at about 170 degrees. It has a swivel base, provides a slight twist of the screen.
Overall I'm very happy with my LN32B360. I have to go with the manual to learn more about its features, but I'm with the settings that I have now fulfilled. Set Sylvania in the bedroom becomes a lot less use now, as I did the hi-def box, switch to TV. Perhaps I should go back to my statement that I was satisfied with only one "relevant". Samsung has set a new standard for me, and would certainly be difficult to go back a bit 'less. A friend of mine, has resisted the purchase of an LCD, was visited the other day. To show my TV functions, I went to a show in hi-def, that the Great Barrier Reef in evidence. He was blocked on the set for the moment was. It is now seriously considering upgrading to an end now an LCD, instead of waiting for her in contrast to CRT alone.
